Out and About [Friday My Town Shoot Out]

What a great topic for spring. I know that some of you all are not feeling spring yet, northeast USA is still being buffeted by snow storms. And some of you just are beginning the fall season. As for Houston, it is on schedule for a mix of cool breezes, hot sun and pollen, sure signs that spring is here and summer coming on fast. I am looking forward to seeing some 'from the ground' shots of our towns.

April 4: Out and About - Take us on a walk through your town. What are the sights you see when you are out doing your daily or weekly chores, or when you are out for some leisure? (by Barb)

A walk in Downtown Houston: hay fever season, the mighty oaks just starting to bloom.

This week's spotlighter is Peggy

Topic for April 11: Weather Changes - April is known to have massive swings when it comes to weather. It can change quickly during a day. Show us your town's weather, from nice and sunny, to grey and rainy. (Mersad)

Friday My Town Shoot Out is a group blog kept going by wonderful volunteers who love the idea of sharing our home towns and visiting other places through images. We welcome you to participate in our weekly link-ups and/or get more involved as one of our volunteers.

  1. Looks so nice and warm. We woke to yet another blanket of snow but by afternoon it has all melted off.

  2. Your picture looks warm - like summer. In Berlin we have a mix of cool breezes, warm sun, pollen and at evening is not very cold. I think now the springtime is here. So i’m happy to go on a walk through Berlin and discover the Beautys of spring.
Thanks for hosting this nice project and happy weekend, Wieczora (◔‿◔) | my photoblog

  4. Great photo. We have driven through Texas several times and stayed in San Antonio a couple of times as well as Fort Stockton (yikes), Amarillo, Tyler, El Paso to name a few.
